BeltLine Rail Now Responds to Revised More MARTA Priorities

Community engagement works. Volunteers with BeltLine Rail Now are pleased to see that the revised More MARTA priority list better reflects a vision for integrated transit across Atlanta, including $200 million* more added to completion of the Atlanta BeltLine Southeast Corridor.  

While funding for the Northwest Corridor, which is owned by CSX Railroad, was not included, we feel certain that as conversations proceed to gain transit access to the corridor, funds will be found to complete this vital connection.  

We are encouraged that voices and concerns were heard and adjustments were made. The collaborative effort of input from across the city will ultimately make for a better system and we thank MARTA for the changes they have made. We encourage people to stay engaged and hope that construction will be implemented on the most aggressive schedule possible.
